When you're buying a horse out of the Payne stables you know it's had the best education a horse can have, being in the hands of exceptionally good conditioners.​ Takebloodstock sold horses out of the stable have done very well in recent times. They include; Zebedee Springs, Funnyifitwon, Lily Allez, The Ineos, Babu King, Marcolt, Need A Miracle, Duke Of Wellington, Secret Location, Lang Park, Major Makeover, Pop Quiz, Eddy Street, Warrandyte Road, Pub Crawl, Stepchild, Lang Park, Itwasonlyakiss etc. If we went back further the list would just keep going. 

• This is one of those ones that doesn't look great upon 1st glance, however if you break it down, i believe there's a strong enough case for "he deserves a crack & a new home with someone".


• He's only on his 1st racing prep which commenced on 28th Feb 2026 over 1590m, where he ran a debut 6th beaten 5.5L or so behind Naraghi, who went ton to compete in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes at her next outing, finishing 5th, beaten 9L behind Sass Appeal. Solid form reference given it was his 1st ever race start.


• 2nd start he stepped up to 1856m (beaten just on 7L) and the winner Which Floor looks to have some future, in what was an impressive victory, he's since ran a solid 3rd at Sale at his next outing in BM62 company. 


• Latest run was 30th March over 2206m at Ararat where you can also forgive him as he was hampered at the 800m, thwarting his chances of being competitive, That being said, the winner Earl Of Gloucester romped in by a widening 6L margin & was impressive. His 13.8L defeat wasn't that bad when you factor the interference in and that he stepped up from 1856m to 2206m in such a short time. Stewards noted, "Badjawa Rounding the turn near the 800m was checked when racing in restricted room to the inside of He’s On Song".


• Obviously hasn't set the wold on fire yet, but he's run into some handy ones in Victoria and he's still just a baby as far  as his pedigree is concerned. Bred to a high class son of Galileo (IRE) out of a quality stamina NZ line. 


• Partnership dissolution reason for sale. He's been freshened up since last start as owners were contemplating next move. Plenty of residual fitness to work with.

Stable notes: "Great looking horse, good temperament. Very lightly raced and sound staying type. Inconvenienced last start and we feel he would have finished a lot closer without interference. We think he's worth a try in weaker jurisdiction".
