• What a ripper on offer here folks. A genuine tough campaigner who has always shown above average ability, having been traded to H.K as a younger horse. From 11 starts there he managed 6 placings and around $260k AUD in earnings.


• Didn't take him long to hit his straps in AUS. Winner of 2 trials in June 2025, before stringing together 3 wins on the trot. His 2nd win in Class 1 company was breathtaking.


• His last win was a $50k SATURDAY Metro Class 2 at Morphettville, pocketing $30,000 for his troubles. 


• Subsequent runs have been as honest as the day's long! They include a 4th in BM70 company at Caulfield, beaten only 0.4L where he led and was run down late. A 3rd at Morphettville in NMW-LY company.


• 2026 prep has been sensational, without breaking through. A METRO 3rd in BM70 company on the Morphettville Parks track (18th April). Another 3rd on the Morphettville Parks track, this time in BM84 company, beaten 0.1L. Another 4th in BM80 company, at Morphettville again.


• Most recent run was way out of character, the track was completely off that day. If you watch the replays on the day, there was a severe bias to horses running on up the middle-outside of the track. Leaders and inside runs were at a severe disadvantage. He was up on the pace throughout and was a spent force in the straight. An out of character run by his standards and was found to have a poor recovery rate. Stewards report noted the following, "FROM THE BLOCK (A. Warren) – rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early stages of the event; however, when asked for an effort near the 600m failed to respond to her riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Co-trainers, Mr R. Jolly and Miss C. Jolly, were advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start". Bare in mind also, had to lump 60kg after the claim in BM64 company. UPDATE: The stable has advised that From The Block has been re-examined by the veterinarian, with no issues identified and veterinary clearance was granted and clear vet certificate lodged with Stewards for reinstatement, on 24th July 2026.


• Go through his form in AUS and you'll see he's competed against genuine CITY-GRADE horses such as:

  *Flogged METRO-WINNER Silver Chaos in his Class 1 win.

• Has been effective on Good-Soft-Heavy and Synthetic surfaces - 1000-1200m is where he's at his best.
  
  Stable notes: "From The Block is a consistent 5 year old. He won 3 in a row when he first come back from HK and even ventured over to Melbourne where he placed 4th only beaten 0.4L. He races on the pace and makes his own luck. Last start was the first time with blinkers and pulled up with poor recovery on the Heavy 9 track. The stable vet has since gone over him and found nothing. Ready for a change of environment. Quiet, easy to train horse who swims and floats well".
