When you're buying a horse out of the Patrick Payne stables you know it's had the best education a horse can have, being in the hands of exceptionally good conditioners.​ Takebloodstock sold horses out of the stable have done very well in recent times. They include; Zebedee Springs, Funnyifitwon, Lily Allez, The Ineos, Babu King, Marcolt, Need A Miracle, Duke Of Wellington, Secret Location, Major Makeover, Pop Quiz, Eddy Street, Warrandyte Road, Pub Crawl, Stepchild, Lang Park,
Itwasonlyakiss (IRE), En Primeur, Tee Galleria, Sasterion etc. If we went back further the list would just keep going!

• What we have on offer here is an ex-New Zealand galloper who has already proven he can win races and compete at a good level in Australia. He won three races in New Zealand, including a Rating 75, before coming to Australia, and has since built a solid record around metropolitan tracks. He has also had strong form around some good horses, including Mark Twain, where he was beaten just 2.4 lengths over 2100 metres.


• He commenced his Australian campaign in 2025 and quickly showed he could compete in Benchmark 70 company, finishing fourth on several occasions over distances ranging from 1400 to 2000 metres. He won the Elmore Cup at Bendigo over 16 00 metres before continuing to race around the metro tracks. At Sandown, he finished fourth over 1800 metres in a Benchmark 70 behind Superstock, beaten just 1.8 lengths.


• He has consistently mixed it with city horses, including in the $50,000 Benchmark 70 races at Sandown, and was also beaten just 2.5 lengths by Federer in Benchmark 70 company. This is the level of form that gives him plenty of appeal at his current rating.


• This preparation commenced in May 2026, when he finished fourth in a Benchmark 62 behind Camp Cable, beaten only around 0.8 of a length. He then won a $60,000 Benchmark 70 at Pakenham on 29 May, defeating Garnacho and Stay Silent. Stay Silent has since gone on to win two city races in a row in August, which gives the Pakenham form a nice boost.


• He then finished third in the Elmore Cup at Bendigo before going to Sandown for a Benchmark 70 in July, finishing fifth behind Second Nature, beaten 4.2 lengths. His last two runs have been over 1800 metres at Sandown, with his penultimate run coming in Heavy 10, bottomless conditions where he was beaten around six lengths. His latest run was behind Emperor Zoo over 1800 metres in a Benchmark 66 on the Sandown Hillside, beaten around seven lengths.


• Overall, he has been an ultra-consistent galloper in Australia who has regularly competed against horses that campaign around the metropolitan tracks. He is rarely far away when conditions suit, and his current Rating 66 gives him an opportunity to find the right race and get back into the winner’s circle. • He handles Good, Soft and Heavy conditions and has genuine versatility. He is effective from 1400 to 1600 metres and can run out a strong 2000 metres. 


• The reason he is being offered is simply that he has had his time with his current connections, who have a large number of horses coming through the system from ready-to-runs & yearling acquisitions. He now needs to make way for some of those younger horses, rather than being sold because he has lost his ability.


• For someone looking for a genuine racehorse with plenty of exposed form, a proven ability to compete in city company and a Vic Rating 66, there is plenty to like here. The key will be finding the right race and giving him the chance to show what he can do back on suitable ground.
